It can be tough to know if something is the right fit for you without hearing what other’s thoughts are first. We wanted to take the guess work out of finding out what trailer owners think of Wheel Estate for you, so we caught up with a few of them to ask some questions that you might be wondering about!

Have you had a wonderful experience with Wheel Estate so far?

Our experience with Wheel Estate so far has been wonderful.  Cherie and Chad have been very supportive if we have needed assistance in bookings/cancellations etc…  As far as actually having our trailer go out and come back, that has been very positive as well.  All the families we have rented to have taken care of our trailer as if it was their own.  Our trailer comes back each time clean and there have been no major damages.

What has been your favourite part about Wheel Estate?

Our favourite part of Wheel Estate has been how easy they make the process of renting out our trailer, the peace of mind we have with Wheel Estate's insurance policy and meeting so many wonderful people.  We get to know the families a little bit during the process and they have all been friendly and positive.

What made you decide to rent your trailer with Wheel Estate? Tell us your "Why" story?

We decided to rent our trailer out this year because we only planned on using it for 3 weeks  this summer.  We usually use it much more.  It felt like a waste, so we decided to rent it out.  When we saw an ad for Wheel Estate and investigated into it more, we realized Wheel Estate was a perfect fit for us.

Do you have a rough ballpark figure of how much Wheel Estate has helped you make? How has it helped offset usual trailer costs?

With 11 bookings, I’ve made roughly up to $3500 dollars with Wheel Estate.

How do you feel about all the connections you are making with your guests this year? Are any turning into relationships?

I’ve been lucky and have had great customers so far. I can't say I see any turning into relationships personally but professionally would be great!

What has been your favourite part about Wheel Estate?

We love that they collect a deposit and provide insurance as we feel this will only attract responsible renters.

What made you decide to rent your trailer with Wheel Estate? Tell us your "Why" story?

Our trailer has not had a lot of use over the past 4 years and we looked into getting renters insurance so we could rent it out.  We were unable to find a company to help us out, and in our search for this, we came across Wheel Estate. We were thrilled they had insurance and that they would do the marketing for us.  It gave us a legitimate and safe way for us to rent out the trailer.

How do you feel about all the connections you are making with your guests this year? Are any turning into relationships?

We have met some terrific people. We hope they will rent again from us.  We have developed some possible business relationships with a few renters, as my husband is a contractor and I am a Realtor.

Do you have a rough ballpark figure of how much Wheel Estate has helped you make? How has it helped offset usual trailer costs?

About $1400 dollars so far. Normally I pay $300 a month for the loan on my trailer, but in the summer those costs are covered by the rental income. I used what was left over to take a road trip with my son to the east coast (with our trailer of course)!

When I purchased my trailer from goRV in July 2016, I signed up for roadside assistance from Coach-Net which sends me an email newsletter every so often featuring RV tips. One of the first emails they sent included a note about WheelEstate, mentioning that RV owners could be making money when they're not camping. I was already a big fan of other websites like Airbnb, so I understood there was big potential in this idea. I signed up right away and had fun taking pictures of my trailer called Little Blue. My first booking came in May 2017.

If you’re a trailer owner you might be thinking you have missed out renting your trailer this season, we are here to tell you ‘no way’!!  Our guests are already booking trailers for next seasons camping adventures.
